The removals are to be delivered over a five-year period beginning in 2030.
Through the agreement, Granitor secures long-term access to permanent carbon removals, positioning the Group as a pioneer in the industrial and construction sectors. This marks a tangible step forward in the Group’s ongoing climate efforts, reflecting its ambition to reduce its climate impact and contribute to the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient society. The deal deepens an already long-standing partnership between Granitor and Stockholm Exergi. Granitor Systems plays a key role in the Beccs Stockholm project through an EPC contract – a comprehensive undertaking spanning engineering, procurement and construction – and is responsible for delivering key electrical power infrastructure to the facility. The partnership is now being expanded to include the purchase and supply of permanent carbon removals.
